My son-in-law will, G-d willing, graduate from the Jewish Theological Seminary in May. He was offered and accepted the position of assistant Rabbi at Sinai Temple of Los Angeles. The good news is that it was his first wish, Rabbi Wolpe is a kind and bright leader who will help him grow in the rabbinate, the job comes with an apartment and also with pre-school, nursery and day school for my granddaughter, Liba Shifra. And, my daughter, who will be, G-d willing, finishing her Master's in Jewish Education will hopefully be able to find a teaching job in a day school.
So, I am very happy for them. I'm hoping the frozen soup will overnight well and I hope that Liba Shifra learns to connect to Savta Bobbie by Skype on her own. I grew up seeing my bubbies and zaydes all the time, so this will be a new thing. Hmm....
Good Shabbos to all!
Bobbie

Thank you, Rivka. Yes!! Baruch HaShem for Skype. I am finding myself talking to a 7 month old and saying, "Look, Liba Shifra, if you push this button, you will see Savta Bobbie," LOL!

My mother in law actually lives quite close and Baruch Hashem we see her often. Even so, she has dual copies of some books, so that she and Laya Ora (29 months) can read it together over the phone. Gossie and Gertie by Olivier Dunrea is a favorite.
