There was a great write-up last Shabbat in one of the more popular handouts from "Olam Katan" here in Israel (OK, its no secret that I live here!!) about the rates of divorce in the religious circles. One of the topics explored is the effect that the internet might be having on marriages. Either too much time spent on the computer or having your emotional needs met there and failing to share with your spouse. This led to a great conversation at home. What do you all think?

I can tell you that I most definitely spend too much time on the internet. And admittedly there are times when I am glued to the computer and hubby wants me to come say goodnight to him and I am distracted by it. k I confessed, it's a start, right?

I am sure you make it up to him in other ways...I too confess that I have to remind myself of what is important as it is easy to get distracted. I remember being involved in a school fund raising project, the whole house fell apart, no suppers were made, laundry piled up etc while I was busy "for the childrens sake", (we did triple our profits from the previous year, and I assuaged my guilt by pretending to be a good role model for my kids) Life is a balancing act!
