Have a great time. Don't scare the poor little kids! I'm taking off next week for a month also. Alas, without my bride...

Aww. yeh, Mati is only meeting me here on Friday, so I am alone for a few days as well. Where are you headed? The best place in the world. I'm participating in a month long Medical Ethics seminar at Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Yerushalayim. I leave next week. One of my students in Israel already noted, 'you don't have to go back when it's over.' I can always send for my lovely wife. The tough part is where to spend my Shabbatot. I've already heard from old friends in Rehovot (who want me to stay there the entire month), my hevruta in Maaleh Michmas, two of my students, friends in Tzfat, and I haven't even spoken with my wife's best friend in Bnei Ayish. I haven't got enough Shabbatot to spend with everybody! Lice checking, eh? I can't say I'd miss doing that!

1)Hope you have some fun, is the food any good? 2)Watch out for the shigella, and the tummy aches (love that, when you ask if they have diarrhea or constipation, first make sure they know what those words mean....they often say no cause the words alone scare them) 3) there is always that token fish bone in the throat 4) I love the home remedies I learnt as a camp nurse ("My Mom swears by honey on a bee sting, it makes sense no?"/ " Honey? NO, MY Mom says onion slices are the way to go,...") 5) Hope you find some time for yourself- go swimming etc. , Camp nursing can be quite demanding. BTW Im not such a fan of giving amoxicillin when the strep test is negative but...doctors orders... Lets pray it passes safetly and pleasantly!! No vacation for me, just had two whirlwind ones where I married off my son and baby brother....

Camp nursing sounds like fun. Did you take a leave of absence or are you between jobs right now? (If you've posted this before, sorry, I havent' really been keeping up.)
