We have some young neighbours with a toddler who really likes one of our dogs. Mom doesn't like dogs so much, though she does tolerate them.
So this year Mom hands me a bag with a 'Poky Puppy' design, and says it is for the dogs from their daughter. Inside is a sweet card to our three dogs, from the family members and various stuffed dolls. Wrapped in tissue paper were three really excellent bones that must have been left from her cooking the seudah. Looked like beef marrow bones. Our dogs were very pleased.
No, I'm not some wacko that includes animals as part of the celebrations of Torah; but this was very sweet.

the cutest mishloach manot i saw was a jar filled with all the dry ingredients needed to bake cookies. Since the nuts and chocolate chips are technically ready to east, it fulfilled the mitzvah.

Just add the eggs.... Not really my cup of tea being old-fashioned..but then I make challah each year shaped differently for the chag- this year it was a crown, last year it was a loaf and I 'wrote' with challah 'snakes': Kosher For Pesach" ( in hebrew) on the challah!! Is that cute or what, some drunk was concerned that my friends might take me seriously and freeze it till Pesach, to calm him I told all my friends it really is chametz!

How sweet, and it was good that you added at the end that you're not some wacko...otherwise who knows what we would have thought :-) Next year teach your canine choir to bark according to "Shoshanas Yaakov..."
