A few weeks back, we were speaking about whether clothing such as a kippah, sheitel, etc. caused reactions in patients or co-workers. I mentioned a dissertation concerning wearing of religious clothing and boundaries but could not remember the source. I found it. It is an article by Iddo Tavory who is at UCLA and this is the link to the free article entitled: Of yarmulkes and categories: delegating boundaries and the phenomenology of interactional expectation. link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11186-009-9100-x/fulltext.html
