I'm sorry to hear this. From what you've been posting thus far it sounds like this instructor has some kind of issue. I really hope everything works out for you. Fortunately this has not been something I had to deal with in my school career, of teachers WANTING you to fail.

just heard from another student that is also "unsatisfactory"
that the dean loves this teacher... so I am going to have to gravel..

That's grovel. The dean may not like gravel. If it's any comfort, I almost got tossed out of CON twice in 16 months. Yet I finished with good grades, and went on to work. Hang in there. We'll daven for you.

I am out... the Dean did not care that this teacher was demeaning, and treated me like crap.
She told me my only hope is that the teacher does not say that I was unsafe.. If I was unsafe then I will not be welcomed back into the program... So I have to write a letter begging for another chance, and then I am back on the wait list

Oh, Malkie I am so so sorry, what a horrible thing to happen. Of course the Dean has to back up her teachers, thats just the politics of it. All you can do is play their game and promise to do better. I wouldnt take the attitude of begging but of getting a second chance. Whether you like it or not they are setting the rules and you have to play their game. I really wish you luck in whatever you decide to do and whatever happens. Is there another school you can consider? Sending you lots of love, Chavie

That stinks. I want to let you know that a few friends had similar experiences. One tried fighting it, and ended up taking the course over and two others switched schools completely. They did end up becoming nurses though! You will achieve your goal. :-) Chin up.

Malkie, I am so, so sorry this happened.
On the other hand, maybe this isn't what you want to hear, but perhaps this is your chance to look for something outside of nursing. Here I am, a newly licensed nurse, applying for non-nursing jobs because there are no openings for new grads.

Rivka, not to hijack Malkie's thread, but I'm a freelance writer (kept it up all through school) so I'm looking into doing some medical writing.
