Achot, from what I understand nursing pay in Israel is very low. But we are looking into that as one option if I can't find work ANYWHERE in the US.

Can I ask what Israel requires for nurses trained in the US/ Would I need to pass the NCLEX-type of exam in Hebrew? Aliyah has been on our radar for a long time and now that 4 tuitions are in full force, it is coming closer. So, any info would be appreciated.
thanks!

1) salary wise, I am not complaining, I didnt go into nursing to become a millionaire, I have a decent salary, I love my work as I do it for (mostly) jews,( I know this is not a PC statement, and I loved helping people when I worked in NY and most of my patient base were non Jews, but there is something to making life a little better for a Holocaust surviver. Regarding salary, it is better than the 0 you get for not finding a job, although I dont believe that this is the reason to make Aliya. Yes tuitions here are cheaper compared to the US, but not free! 2) You would only have to pass an English (not Hebrew) test for licensing, I couldnt tell you more than that. If you speak to someone from Nefesh BeNefesh, they can help you more.
Good luck whatever you decide
