After doing homework with the kids, I am brain fried...

How am I going to handle it when I have tons of homework!!! It's crazy how much homework kids have these days, and when u times it by 3 or 4 kids...

I started homework from the time we got home, and just now finished at 7!!!! ahhh

I was continually amazed by my classmates who were mothers. I believe that you, like all the others, will somehow adapt and plow through.

My wife went to med school with two kids still in HS. She kept a discipline of using the campus library. She had untouchable time, right after class, where she went for an hour into a cubicle in the Health Sciences library without delay and got to work. Every day. Away from home or the kiddos for that short time. The rest she squeezed in here and there; but that structure and guaranteed time away from home to study was key.

Consider something like that. The school library or even a public library. The key is some study time where you are unreachable and undistractable. The rest you'll manage.

We had young mothers, old mothers, pregnant mothers in my class at CON. I don't know how, but they all did it. You will too. Slowly, gently start planning some of that now.

Yeh, I think I am going to have to do that: get out of the house and study in a library. I am taking two classes right now, working toward my masters, and it's so hard to juggle everything!

Medic, what a good idea!!.. finding an appropriate place to study away from the home, turn off the cellphone etc. Reward yourself afterwards with a nice hot bath or something,
Have a good friend answer your calls for your in case its important and she can update you when you are done.
Besides doing homework with the kids is different than doing it for yourself and it will be a great role model / example for the kids.
How old are your kids, can they help prepare simple suppers? Start them off now helping with the chores.
A friend just finished 2 years of studying to complete her degree, it is hard while you are doing it but you have to keep your eye on the light at the end of the tunnel. There will be smachot that you will have to forgo- good friends will understand, there will be compromises on housework etc, but the time will pass and it will have been worth it.
